Objectifs de la formation

 General Objectives :

  1. To offer “Licence” holders in English the opportunity to continue their studies at the postgraduate level.  
  2. To consolidate prior learning, broaden intellectual perspectives and serve as a basis for subsequent academic research activities.
  3. To promote cultural openness and readiness to face the challenges of a changing socio-economic environment. 
  4. To  facilitate their future social and professional integration  in the professional world . 

 Specific Objectives :

  1.  To reinforce the students’ already acquired knowledge in English linguistics. 
  2.  To provide them with the necessary skills that will help them adapt to a variety of real-world linguistic
  3.  To offer them some solid background knowledge in a number of studyrelated to the  English language and culture such as literary genres, major linguistic subfields, media studies, gender studies, popular culture
  4. To train students in new trends and cultivate innovative, critical and independent learning.
  5.  To initiate them to the methodology and techniques of research work.

Débouchés et retombées de la formation

  1. Skills in carrying out a thorough linguistics analysis from both a theoretical point of view and a practical one,
  2. The student will also be more competent in the field of theoretical linguistics and culture studies,
  3. The student will have acquired enough skills to enable him to take his / her job in

Upon completing our proposed Master programme, the student could choose from a number of promising openings:

  • He/ she could register for Doctoral studies and take up more advanced research projects.
